Campbell&#8217;s soup &#8211; <strong>Dripping Roast Beef Sandwiches with Provolone Cheese<\/strong> was pick #2\u00a0of Dan&#8217;s dinner choices. The Campbell&#8217;s ad was in the most recent Rachael Ray magazine and like the chicken wings, super simple &#8211; only 5 ingredients.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1945\" title=\"DSC03023\" src=\"http:\/\/foodiddy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/DSC03023.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"338\" srcset=\"http:\/\/foodiddy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/DSC03023.jpg 450w, http:\/\/foodiddy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/DSC03023-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><br \/>\n1 Can (10.5 oz.) Campbell&#8217;s Condensed French Onion Soup<br \/>\n1 Tablespoon Reduced Sodium Worcestershire Sauce &#8211; I used regular, didn&#8217;t have low sodium<br \/>\n3\/4 lb. thinly sliced deli roast beef &#8211; I used a higher quality Angus cut, more expensive &#8211; but worth it!<br \/>\n4 Classic Soft Hoagie Rolls with Sesame Seeds<br \/>\n4 Slices Deli Provolone Cheese &#8211; cut in half &#8211; I used 8 thin slices folded in 1\/2<\/p>\n<p><strong>Directions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Heat oven to 400 degrees F.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1946\" title=\"DSC03027\" src=\"http:\/\/foodiddy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/DSC03027.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"338\" srcset=\"http:\/\/foodiddy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/DSC03027.jpg 450w, http:\/\/foodiddy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/DSC03027-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Heat soup and Worcestershire in saucepan over medium-high heat to a boil.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1949\" title=\"DSC03029\" src=\"http:\/\/foodiddy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/DSC030291.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"338\" srcset=\"http:\/\/foodiddy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/DSC030291.jpg 450w, http:\/\/foodiddy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/DSC030291-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Add beef and heat until it appears to be cooked through &#8211; stirring occasionally. Mine went from bright pink to the brown color above in\u00a03-4 minutes.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1950\" title=\"DSC03030\" src=\"http:\/\/foodiddy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/DSC03030.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"338\" srcset=\"http:\/\/foodiddy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/DSC03030.jpg 450w, http:\/\/foodiddy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/DSC03030-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Divide beef among the\u00a0rolls.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1951\" title=\"DSC03031\" src=\"http:\/\/foodiddy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/DSC03031.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"338\" srcset=\"http:\/\/foodiddy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/DSC03031.jpg 450w, http:\/\/foodiddy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/DSC03031-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Place rolls onto baking sheet, add roast beef and then top with provolone cheese. Bake for 3-4 minutes, or until sandwiches are toasted and cheese is melted. The recipe suggested spooning the soup mixture right onto the sandwiches, but we chose to have small bowls for dipping.\u00a0I&#8217;m not\u00a0a fan of super soggy bread.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1954\" title=\"DSC03032\" src=\"http:\/\/foodiddy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/DSC03032.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"338\" srcset=\"http:\/\/foodiddy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/DSC03032.jpg 450w, http:\/\/foodiddy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/DSC03032-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The recipe also suggested pickled banana pepper rings as a sandwich topper, we passed on those.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1955\" title=\"DSC03039\" src=\"http:\/\/foodiddy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/DSC03039.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"338\" srcset=\"http:\/\/foodiddy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/DSC03039.jpg 450w, http:\/\/foodiddy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/DSC03039-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I loved that the start to finish time was about 15 minutes &#8211; including photography.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1960\" title=\"DSC03040\" src=\"http:\/\/foodiddy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/DSC03040.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"338\" srcset=\"http:\/\/foodiddy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/DSC03040.jpg 450w, http:\/\/foodiddy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/DSC03040-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I gave\u00a0my sandwich\u00a0a good dunk and enjoyed the flavor. Got the thumbs up from Dan, so yay&#8230; another simple mid-week creation when time in the kitchen is limited.<\/p>\n<p>Are you a fan of Roast Beef Au Jus? <a href=\"http:\/\/www.foodnetwork.com\/recipes\/bobby-flay\/roast-prime-rib-with-thyme-au-jus-recipe\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\">Bobby Flay has a recipe<\/a> that adds red wine, beef stock, thyme and salt and pepper to the beef drippings.
